BOARD MEETINGS

Board Meetings and Governance
a. Board Meetings to be held at least every other month on the first Wednesday
of each month at 3:30pm in the library. Thus Feb 7, April 3, June 5, August 7,
Oct 2 and Dec 4, 2024.
b. These specific dates outlined for the calendar year 2024 should now facilitate priority planning and maximise members’ availability. The dates have been
previously discussed and agreed with (almost all) members as not clashing with known specific events.
c. There may also be special meetings called as the circumstances may dictate. 
d. It is hoped that at least 3 of the meetings will be fully face to face, with the other three being Hybrid. Members who live overseas are asked to indicate if their travel plans to Jamaica can synchronize with at least two of the scheduled dates.
e. Based on member feedback, attendance of non-board members, including JC management team, will be by invitation and not by default.
f. Given the human resource challenges outlined in the past, an assistant secretary will be provided from the Chairman’s office to support the work of the Board Secretary. This will help with follow up of members for reports and to remind them of action items.
g. Reports and minutes are to be submitted and circulated at least 7 days before each meeting.
